The St Giles Group of colleges is one of the largest and most successful language training organisations based in the UK. Founded in 1955 in London, we now have 5 international centres in the UK and USA. Our aim is to provide students with top quality service at an affordable price. At St Giles, we understand that different students have different needs. The St Giles \"learner-centred\" approach to teaching English enables our teachers to meet your individual needs. Courses cover practice in all four skill areas: reading, writing, speaking and listening; however, you will find the focud of our General Englishc programmes is on speaking and listening - generally the main requirements of today\'s modern English speaker. A typical General English programme includes: Developing and improving your spoken English, to make you a clearer and more confident speaker Developing your listening and comprehension skills Learning and reviewing the basic grammatical structures of the English language Everyday English - language that you can use in real-life situations, both spoken and written Reading practice, and comprehension testing As well as General English courses, we also offer a wide range of English for Special Purposes and Examination Preparation courses to cater for your individual needs. Also available are Executive English courses designed for business professionals.

Every St Giles College has an Accommodation and Welfare Officer, who will be pleased to arrange your accommodation. We offer 3 main types of accommodation option: homestay, residence halls and hostels and hotels and guest houses. Uniquely in London, St Giles London Central offers you the opportunity to live \"on campus\", in our student residence on the upper floors of the college. We offer single and twin rooms, on a breakfast only or half-board basis. Alternatively you can choose to stay with one of our carefully-selected host families, or if you prefer a more independent accommodation option, in one of our student hotels located close to the college.

You will of course want to make the most of your time in London, so we are pleased to offer a varied and exciting programme of activities, designed to help you get to know more about London and Great Britain. Programmes are updated on a monthly basis, giving you the opportunity to see current plays and musicals, special exhibitions and seasonal events.
