These modern installations include a reception area, 10 classrooms with air conditioning, a library which has computers with Internet access, a teachers’ resource room and several sunny terraces. It is located on the corner of Avenida Juan Sebastián Elcano and Calle Conde de las Navas, very close to the beach and near historical and cultural areas of the city. The school is located to the east of the city in Pedregalejo, one of the most important residential areas of the city. The Pedregalejo and El Palo areas were once traditional fishing villages in their own right. Here you can try wonderfully fresh fish in the “chiringuitos” (rustic beachfront restaurant/bar). With a warm climate year round you can sunbathe on the beach, take a swim in the Mediterranean sea, stroll along the seafront and enjoy water sports, tennis, golf and other activities throughout the year. After a long day, and rejuvinated by a rest at siesta time, Málaga’s nightlife begins. Living with a Spanish host family and enjoying the sun are perfect ways to spend your vacation and prepare for your future at the same time. The course is centered on learning practical Spanish used in everyday situations: traveling, visiting places of interest, using the telephone, shopping, dining in restaurants, using the post office, and making reservations in hotels. E.I. Centers use the communicative teaching method. The activities and exercises undertaken in class are practical and focus on the development of oral and written expression based on real language communications. Our program consists of creative classroom activities based on real-life situations combined with grammatical reinforcement. The practical and creative activities helps you use the structures learned and gives you confidence to speak in the new language. The majority of the activities in class are focused on oral and written communication skills. Escuela Internacional’s minimum of four levels allow for a range of student development from elementary level to advanced language skills. On the first day, you take a Placement Test and are placed in an appropriate level according to your knowledge and ability in the Spanish language. Right from the beginning, you progress very rapidly since you are in constant, daily contact with the Spanish language in every Spanish language lesson taught at E.I. Your immersion in Spanish language and culture, combined with the quality of E.I. courses, will help you from the very first day. That is why we visit and carefully select each of the accommodations we offer our students. E.I. arranges families, student apartments, hotels and hostels in Malaga with equal care. You can choose one or combine more than one option during your stay in Spain. The two most popular options among E.I. students are accommodations with a Spanish host family or in a shared international student apartment. Both of these choices offer a unique experience and the perfect compliment to your Spanish language course. Living with a host family is one of the best ways to learn in depth about the country that you are visiting, its culture and its people, and also allows you to practice and listen to the Spanish language in its most natural form. Daily contact with your host family will quickly enhance your understanding of local customs and culture. In no time at all you will be picking up common idiomatic phrases and expressions. In addition, you can enjoy a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with the independence of having your own key. Student Apartment Accommodations “the independent option” If you would prefer to live in an apartment with other international students, E.I. offers well-placed student apartments at no more than a 25 minute walk from the school. Sharing an apartment means that you will live with other international students and have the chance to learn about their own countries and cultures. In choosing this option you can make new, international friends that could last a lifetime! All student apartments are furnished and have a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. They are not luxurious, but have everything you may need: a television, stove, refrigerator and washing machine.

All E.I. students are invited and encouraged to participate in our annual program of cultural activities and excursions to towns and cities in Andalucía. You will discover the traditions, the monuments, countryside and lifestyle of the Andalusian people as well as visit some of the most important cities in the south of Spain such as Sevilla, Cordoba and Granada. Excursions: Take full advantage of your spare time during the weekends, and travel to nearby cities with E.I. You can learn about Hispanic culture, as well as use your new language skills. An E.I. instructor or a guide accompanies the group and provides information about the places that you visit on the trip. The excursions provide that extra element to make your stay memorable and complete. Typical Excursions from Malaga: Visit some of the most important towns near Malaga, such as: Marbella, Nerja y Ronda as well as typical Andalusian cities such as Sevilla, Córdoba and Granada, where you can discover the historical treasures of these cities.
