Our English preparatory courses (ELICOS) are some of the best in Australia. We offer eight levels at present with twelve classes, ranging from Elementary to Advanced Level. Students take a test, on arrival, to find out their level, after which we place them in their class. Students can choose to study for Certificates I, II, III or IV on a ten-week programme basis starting on either specific dates if on a student visa, or a less-intensive General English programme which allows students to start on any particular Monday. As well as programmes for FCE, CAE, and PET we also have, exclusively in Melbourne, the Cambridge BEC (Business English) Programme. This is an excellent programme for those students keen to improve their business English skills. We also offer two Academic English classes. English Activities We also have a number of FREE after-class activities including a great twice-weekly “Conversation Club” where students from Melbourne University come to meet and talk in English with our students. This is an excellent way to meet Australian people. Many students use the club to make new Australian friends and the Conversation Club organises many regular activities including visits to the movies, cinemas, nightclubs, sporting events and BBQs.
