Rennert Miami

Rennert Miami is located on the 150 acre gated campus of St. Thomas University in Northwest Miami within 30 minutes driving distance to downtown Miami or South Beach. Our students have access to all university facilities including a multimedia room with computers and learning materials, modern library, fitness center, swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts, the student lounge and cafeteria. Our teachers are professional, university trained native speakers of American English. They make full use of many different educational media(textbooks, audio, video and computers). Rennert Miami students gain conditional acceptance at St. Thomas University.

Rapid Progress 20 (20 lessons per week) is designed for the student who wishes to study during his/her stay in Miami but still have time for extracurricular activities. We offer 5 levels of English from beginner to advanced. After the initial placement test you will join a group of 6 - 10 students in a class appropriate to your level of English. Students may start classes on any Monday, except for absolute beginners and TOEFL Success students. See our Registration package for start dates. Classes meet Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. depending on level and course availability. Rapid Progress 30. This course (30 lessons per week) is ideal for the serious student who wants to make maximum progress as quickly as possible for academic or professional reasons. TOEFL Success. This program is for students who are seeking admission to colleges and universities in the United States and Canada. Rennert Miami has designed a comprehensive preparation program for high intermediate and advanced level students including grammar, listening comprehension, reading, writing and speaking skills necessary to score well in the test. In the Private English Program (20 hours) you meet one-on one with with an instructor who will design the course according to your language needs, interests and background.

Our homestay program provides the opportunity to live in a private home and additional speaking practice time. Minimum stay of 4 weeks is required. St. Thomas University residence Halls are dormitory style with shared bathroom facilities across the hall. They are within 2 minutes walking distance to classrooms and provide free high speed internet access. Telephone hookups are available but students must bring their own phone. All our activities are arranged by our teachers and carried out either on campus or the vicinity of Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Some of them are free and some for a fee from $5 to $25 and are a great way of experiencing the cultural and touristic aspects of Miami and Fort Lauderdale.
