International House BathBath, England The Language School
International House, a pioneering organisation in the teaching of languages and the training of teachers of languages was founded in London in 1953, almost fifty years ago. IH has since grown into a worldwide organisation comprising over 120 schools in thirty–five countries.
Our aim is the complete satisfaction of our students with all aspects of their stay at our centres. The teaching, the methodology, the books and teaching equipment, the comfort of the schools, the quality of their accommodation and their social life all must meet with nothing less than the delight of our students. To achieve this we consider the student’s interest at every stage of the planning and carrying out of our programmes.
Our year-round school, on Trim Street, is located in the historic General Wolfe\'s House, an early 18th century town house in the very heart of the city. (General Wolfe captured Quebec in a famous battle in 1742.) Our second building on Milsom Street is two minutes\' walk from our Trim Street building and offers more spacious classrooms. The Roman Baths, the Pump Rooms, the abbey, shops and restaurants are all within a few minutes\' walk of the school.
