The school is in a modern building with air-conditioning, free Internet access and all the amenities, and is located in the heart of the city. We are just steps away from the subway and a five-minute walk from lively St. Catherine Street with its hundreds of boutiques and numerous movie theatres and restaurants. Just down the street is Old Montreal and its 300-year old buildings, museums, shops and port.

Since its residents are often trying to improve their own ‘second-language’ skills, our international students sometimes find themselves studying next to local Canadians, to the benefit of all the learners.

The Centre Linguista Intensive English Course is an excellent opportunity for you to improve your English language skills. The focus is on stimulating and fun conversation classes and grammar classes that will quickly improve the way you speak and write. Business English: this is a course for business people and students of business English. The program will develop the communication skills you need to succeed in the workplace. Participants will become more fluent and confident in using the language of business. The program consists of 16 units based on business topics. The 16 units can be interchangeable depending on the assessment of the teacher and the needs of the learners. Students have the possibility of starting in Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa and then transferring between any of our three centres, thus enabling them to get to know three great Canadian cities.

Living with a Canadian family and taking part in their culture while practicing your English or French is among the most valuable tools offered by Centre Linguista. Students often say that participation in our homestay program is one of the best parts of their time with us. We take great care in screening and choosing the families that take in students, making sure that they are supportive and involved. Some students share their homestay lodging with other students from different countries, making it an even richer experience. Apartment hotels are located downtown within 20 minutes walking distance of the school. They are suitable for families and executive students. Services may include a furnished air-conditioned apartment including a fully equipped kitchenette and bathroom; telephone with voice mail; cable, colour TV; shared laundry room and more. You may request information and the price of the residence from the Homestay department. Student residences are located downtown, within 30 minutes of the school, by public transportation. Services may include: a furnished private bedroom with sheets and towels; shared student lounge with TV and phone; shared or private kitchen facilities; electricity and heating; washing machine and clothes dryer and cleaning of common spaces.

Centre Linguista students love to go to the best Montreal attractions like the Biodome and Biosphere, the Olympic Stadium Park and the gorgeous Casino. Montreal is world famous for the many festivals and events which it hosts every year!
