CIE is an expanding language school and tutorial college located in the centre of Oxford. We are one of the few colleges who offer students the opportunity to combine academic study and English as a Foreign Language. Our small classes mean that students benefit from individual attention and our dedicated and enthusiastic teachers ensure that all students achieve the best possible results. We understand that the most important person is the student. Co-ordination of the programmes is flexible in order to encourage the interests and needs of the student, whose progress is closely monitored to ensure his/ her success. We offer General English, Intensive English,Academic English, courses for juniors, and specialist English (eg for Medicine). In summer our programmes are taught at Wadham College, part of the University of Oxford. CIE enjoys a prime central location in the historic and beautiful city of Oxford, one of the oldest and most famous university cities in the world. The city offers beautiful architecture and gardens as well as museums, theatres, cinemas, restaurants, parks, shops and a wide range of sport facilities. It is only one hour by train or coach from the centre of London. Heathrow Airport is also only an hour away, and Gatwick and Stansted less than two. Buses are regular and inexpensive. CIE offers a wide range of courses for all ages and abilities. As a small college, we can be flexible with individual study needs and monitor closely each student's progress. The College offers several programmes in English and other Languages: A General Course An Extended Course Vacation Courses Courses for Juniors (14-15) Courses for Business People English Plus - Special Interest Courses, such as Art & Design, Flower Arranging, or lessons in English combined with your own choice of leisure activity - Golf, Horse-Riding, Music, Tennis etc.. Other Languages include all European Languages, and also Japanese, Mandarin, Russian and Arabic.All are taught by native speakers. This programme can be combined with other programmes eg Sciences, Business.

We are in the heart of the University city of Oxford, which is just one hour by train from London. Surrounding Oxford is the beautiful Cotswold countryside.

Programmes are designed to meet the student's needs, and the College teaches over 20 other subjects, in addition to English.Other Languages are also offered - German,French, Spanish etc and many non-European Languages.

Families are carefull selected and profiles are available before booking. Dinner and breakfast is included and lunch at the weekends.

The programme also offers a wide range of cultural and social activities, which generally take place in the afternoons, evenings and at the weekends. These include visits to historically important places such as Stratford (to see a play), Warwick Castle, and London. Participants also have the opportunity to enjoy something of student life in Oxford itself, with games of croquet, tea in a college hall, and punting on the river.
