STUDY THE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE OF ITALY IN THE CENTRE OF ROME The light and spacious rooms of the school look out onto picturesque views of Rome and are equipped with the latest audio-visual equipment. It Club also offers reading and relaxation areas with two libraries as well as a large lounge where our students can get together during the breaks between lessons, taking advantage of our bar. THE SCHOOL, THE METHOLOGY, THE TEACHERS, THE BOOKS Knowing a language means understanding it and using it in a variety of situations. This is why it is so important to introduce students to a current usage of the language so that they can then understand the most important precepts of the language through having observed it in action. In fact, obtaining linguistic competence - being able to understand, speak, read and write - begins with an understanding of the syntax, followed by a more thorough study of the grammatical rules and structures. It Club is based upon Training's experience of over twenty years and our teachers are all specialized in the teaching of Italian as a second language. The effectiveness of our method lies in its communicativeness: our teachers do not limit the language to a series of grammatical terms; on the contrary, every structure is immediately set in the context of its various meanings through a number of practical examples. Particularly important is the use of authentic materials such as newspaper articles, documentaries and films through which the student can understand the use and context of new structures, which are repeated during the course through a range of written and oral exercises. The textbooks used have been carefully chosen from amongst the most up-to-date and well-structured books available.

Rome is a beautiful city in the province of Rome and at the same time the capital of Italy. The metropolis is also referred to as “Eternal City” which derives from the ancient world when Rome was the capital of the Roman Empire. Within the city limit, the independent state of Vatican City constitutes an enclave; here lives the Pope who is also Bishop of Rome and head of the Roman Catholic Church. Vatican City, St Peter´s Basilica and the Old Town of Rome have even been declared World Cultural Heritage Sites by the UNESCO in 1980. The climate is rather comfortable, resulting from the city´s Mediterranean location: mean annual temperature adds up to 15,5 °C. There are many cultural sites to visit in Rome, for example the Vatican Museums, the Capitoline Museums and St Peter´s Basilica. The Pantheon is the only preserved domed structure and the Colosseum the greatest amphitheatre of the ancient world; besides, there are many significant squares like Piazza di Spagna with the Spanish Steps or Piazza Navona with its three famous fountains. Another world-famous fountain is Fontana di Trevi; they say that everybody who throws a coin in there will definitely come back to Rome. Night life starts very late in the evening: Romans do not go out until after dinner. Nice places to go to are particularly the wine taverns and cafés situated between Campo dei Fiori, Piazza Navona and Via della Pace. If you rather want to go to a night club, try some locations in the district Testaccio.

LEARN ITALIAN QUICKLY - OUR GROUP COURSES Our intensive group courses for Italian are the quickest and most effective way to learn Italian. These courses can be attended between two weeks and six months and are suited for every level, from beginner to advanced. Lessons take place in the morning or afternoon, every day from Monday to Friday. An initial placement test ensures that every student is put in the most appropriate group according to the level of his or her knowledge of the language. At the end of every course, upon the completion of a level, a certificate of attendance is awarded. Upon request, exams can also be taken to obtain the itC Certificate at beginner, intermediate and advanced level. INDIVIDUAL COURSES FOR LEARNING ITALIAN - FOLLOW A COURSE TAILOR-MADE TO SUIT YOUR OWN NEEDS Our individual courses are designed particularly for those who have very little time at their disposal and who need to deal with specific themes. There is a choice between short courses with a few hours per week or more intensive courses, structured over a number of weeks. The result obtained using the latted formula usually far exceed students' expectations. The teacher is always ready to respond to any questions which may arise, dedicating all of his or her time to the student. The more intensive courses can also include - upon request - lunch with the teacher at a restaurant of our choice.
