Accademia Leonardo is situated in a storic noble building in the historical center of the City of Salerno. The location is ideal in that the beaches and the city's shops are steps away. Accademia Leonardo is a rare and fascinating place, where spend time joining the study of the Italian language and culture to the pleasure to be surrounded by historical and landscape beauties unique in the world. The school welcomes students of all nationalities throughout the whole year. As well as the Italian Language courses there are a vast range of cultural and recreational activities which enhance the studying experience. Taking part in the Academy's courses offers the student an opportunity to live the Italian life and to appreciate its more interesting aspects: culture, art, social life, the sea, its gastronomy and its folk traditions Our standard Italian language courses are divided into 7 levels, from Complete Beginner to Superior Levels. There are 4 lessons a day, Monday through Friday. Our aim is to put grammar into real communication situations and to invite students to practice the linguistic knowledge they have acquired. Even complete beginner students will use Italian from the first day. The classes do not exceed 10 pupils, thus ensuring a quality learning environment. At the end of the course every student will receive a certificate of attendance. Accademia Leonardo organizes many social activities in the morings and evenings. Whether they are excursions or it is dining out in one of the "pizzerie" or a trip to a night club, these evenings out are a great opportunity to socialize and meet the Italian people. The City of Naples was founded in 600 B. C. by the Greeks, and the Romans took over in 320 B.C. It is an historical city, full of monuments, churches, building dating back centuries. The national Museum, which is one of the best archeological museum in the world, stores most of the treasures are from Pompei and Herculaneum that have been transferred there for safe keeping. There is also a priceless collection of paintings and bronze works. The oldtown center is very typical, lively and full of some storic, beautiful churches such as The Church of Santa Chiara, with its fascinating majolica cloister in rococo-style,and the Church of Gesù Nuovo with the astonishing richness of its floral marble decorations.

Our Standard Italian language courses are divided into 7 levels, from Complete Beginner to Superior Levels. There are 4 lessons a day, Monday through Friday. At the end of the course every student will receive a certificate of attendance.The Standard Course runs throughout the year and at all levels from beginners to superior levels. Lessons focus on the four main language skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, and take place Monday to Friday.The Italian Plus Course is recommended for those who may have less time to study and/or who want more intensive language tuition each week.

Normally the accommodation is available from the day preceding the start of the course up until the afternoon following the end of the course. The accommodation choices are the following: with a family with breakfast with a family with half board In a students' flat In a one-room flat In Hotel

Fishing, windsurfing, canoeing, swimming and regattas, are only a few of the sports that can be practised here. On the public beaches you can enjoy the sun and the warm in your free time, while the beaches just outside Salerno are ideal for tourists and all those who wish to enjoy an unpolluted sea in peace and quiet. It's possible to organize sailing excursions with Leonardo Accademy boat and visit the wonderful coasts surrounding the City of Salerno.
