Centro Koinè Bologna

Thanks to our collaboration with the cultural association L'Arca, Koinè Centre classes are held in a palazzo located at the centre of the university quarter. On the first day of the course each participant will receive a folder containing a list of cultural activities and excursions, a guide with useful addresses for a stay in the city and a map of the city. Classes are formed from 3 to 8 students for each level. At the end of the course each student will receive on request a certificate of attendance which specifies the length of the course and the student’s level of proficiency in the language.

Bologna is one of Italy's major cultural centers. Home to one of the oldest and most famous universities of medicine, the city bustles with students of all ages, old bookshops full of character and characters , publishing houses and skilled bookbinders. Yet the historic center maintains much of its original layout. Particularly attractive are its many arcades, which allow pedestrians to move quickly and safely around the center. Bologna remains outside the main tourist circuit, and its residents are happy to give their attention to anyone coming from abroad. The Bolognesi are proud of their cultural heritage and do not miss a chance to point out the most interesting aspects of their daily life, especially the food.

Our courses lay emphasis on the spoken language, not disregarding grammar rules, but considering language in its actual function, that is as a means of communication between people. Our lessons are therefore focused on making students communicate in Italian, helping them to express themselves and understand each other better . The method has been perfected over 20 years of constant research and applied studies.

The Koinè Centre offers a free of charge accommodation booking service for the duration of the language course. When you fill in our registration form, please choose the accommodation you prefer. Seven days before the starting date of your course, we'll send you all the information you need about your accommodation. Single and double rooms with shower or bathroom and linen service are available. Kitchen facilities are optional. Rooms are rented from families, single persons, and students in the city centre. Single participants who request accommodations in a double room will be placed with other students . Generally bookings are made from Sunday until Saturday. 1 week = 6 nights, 2 weeks = 13 nights, 3 weeks = 20 nights, 4 weeks = 27 nights
