Linc is a modern, medium-sized school located in Seville. Linc enjoys a privileged location at the very centre of the city, in a lively pedestrian street surrounded by shops and cafés. It occupies a traditional Sevillian house, a three-floor building recently renovated with modern facilities: library, 6 free access points to the Internet (DSL) plus WiFi, air conditioning, double glazing, terrace, etc… Linc was founded in 2000 by language graduates with over 15 years experience in translation, international event organization and hosting groups of foreigners. The founders’ philosophy was to create an efficient, professional organization while at the same time retaining a warm atmosphere. The Head of Studies as well as all the teachers are University graduates with specific degrees in teaching Spanish to foreigners combined with many years of experience. The school offers intensive courses at all levels as well as professional Spanish for Business, Medicine and Tourism. The school’s maximum capacity is 60 students, in 7 classrooms. Groups are reduced, with an average of 6-8 people, which guarantees personal attention at all levels: tuition, problem-solving, information to the students, etc.. Linc also offers two cultural activities per week in four areas: discovering the real Seville on foot, Andalusian cuisine and wines, Spanish flamenco and salsa dancing classes, and getting to know the Spanish culture through subtitled Spanish films. Five reasons to choose Linc: 1. Our excellence in teaching. Linc's Spanish courses are accredited by the prestigious Instituto Cervantes and with the CEELE, a main quality certification for Spanish as a foreign language. All of our teachers are University graduates with extensive experience and specific training in teaching Spanish as a foreign language. 2. Small groups and personal attention (max. 10 people per group, average 7). 3. Learning Spanish is fun at Linc. We organise cultural/leisure activities twice a week, parties, exchange programs, and weekend tours of Andalusia. Our activities range from cooking classes or Sherry wines tasting to flamenco dancing. We help you discover the magic of Andalusia! 4. Methodology. We understand that our students´ main object is to be able to communicate in the street and be able to do daily activities within the Spanish environment, therefore our methodology is fundamentally communicative, of course with the necessary grammar as well. 5. Our course prices include: - Your class materials. - Use of the library, video room, and 6 computers for free and unlimited internet access. - Book, video and DVD loan service. - Welcome breakfast on the first Monday every month, for all students - At least twice a month: outings to night spots with free drinks - Exchange program. Many local University students register at Linc for an "intercambio" with a foreign student. ( An excellent way to practise your Spanish and meet other young people) - Week-end trips at reduced prices

Seville, the capital city of the Autonomous Community of Andalusia, is situated in the southwestern part of the Iberian Peninsula. The province's capital is the fourth largest Spanish city after Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia, with a population of 700,000. Seville is an open, vibrant city, which draws people out of their homes. Sevillians literally live and socialise on the street. All year round there are countless things to do in Seville: stroll through the city, visit unique monuments, museums and exhibitions, go to shows… Whatever you do and wherever you go, you will enjoy the hospitality that makes Seville a most friendly, welcoming place to visit. There are numerous entertainment options open to those who are willing to let their imagination fly in a city crammed with the vestiges of other cultures. And as the night draws in, Seville becomes a modern city, providing culinary, cultural, leisure and entertainment offerings to suit all tastes. Although Seville is acclaimed for its architecture imbued with Moorish influences - the city was under Moorish rule for some 800 years - long before this time it had become a population centre of great cultural importance. A love of bullfighting and flamenco is another linchpin of Andalusian culture. Renowned bullfighters such as Juan Belmonte, Joselito el Gallo, Gitanillo de Triana and the recently retired Curro Romero were born in Seville or its province. It is also the birthplace of prominent figures in the world of flamenco and traditional Spanish music. Climate Famed for its wonderful spring and autumn time weather and hot summers, Seville has a Mediterranean climate with medium to high temperatures and strong oceanic influences. The average temperature in winter is around 13º C, and winter lows do not normally fall below 2 or 3º C. Rainfall is scant to moderate, averaging 578 l/m2 a year. The city experiences little climatic change: mild winters and hot summers. The average annual temperature ranges between 16 and 18º C, although the summertime average is a much higher 27º C. The city averages around 250 hours of sun a month. The average number of hours of sun increases from almost 200 in the winter months to approximately 350 in the summer months (May, June, July and August).

Max. participants per course: 10

Courses:
Intensive Spanish, Intensive Spanish Plus, DELE Exam preparation, Spanish for Business, Spanish for Tourism, Spanish for Medicine
The first day of school you can come in at 9:00 to take the written level test if you have not already sent it in by email. If you have never studied Spanish before, you will not need to take the level test, you will be placed directly in the Beginners group to begin learning to communicate in Spanish from the start. If we have doubts about your level, you will have a short interview with a teacher before starting class. The morning classes begin at 9:30 and end at 13:30. There are four 50 minute classes with two breaks. The first Monday of every month (the first day for the beginners) we have a welcome breakfast during the first break (at 10:30). This way you can meet your classmates (those who have started the course with you and those who started before you) as well as all of the teachers. If you have registered for the Intensive Plus course, Professional Spanish, or DELE course, you will also have two 50 minute classes with a break inbetween them in the afternoon. These classes begin at 14:30 and end at 16:30. In each class we practice the four main skills (reading, writing, oral comprehension, and oral expression) and whenever possible, we do it in and integrated way, as this is how it is in real situations. This way we convert the class into the ideal context to be able to reach the communicative objectives proposed in each level. An important factor in our classes is negotiation. In each level, and with each of the objectives that we cover in them, we adapt to the diversity of the cultures and nationalities present in class. This is easier to do because of the small size of our classes (a maximum of 10 students in each class). The teachers at Linc consider themselves part of the group and therefore try to take care of all of the learning needs of each student, so that everyone gives and recieves the most possible during the course. The possibility that the students have to share knowledge and experiences with others is fundamental as a motivation for learning the Spanish language. In between the morning and afternoon classes you will have a one hour break in which you can keep learning Spanish. Around the school there are many famous "tapas bars" where you will have the chance to try new dishes and recharge to continue with your day. You can also check and write emails in our two computer rooms with internet connection (DSL 2Mb) that are available for use as you please. You can also connect through our wireless connection. In the afternoon, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 17:00pm on, we organize cultural activities that you can enjoy with your classmates, consisting of things like touring and learning about our city, taking dance classes, gastronomy classes or seeing a Spanish movie.
