Boscastle Language School

We are a small, private EFL school in a Cornish fishing village. Courses include an introduction to the community, music nights in the pubs, our friends and the Cornish lifestyle. Courses are from 1-13 weeks, individual (1-to-1) or small groups of 2-4 people. There are local, non-native students at the school, who you can meet. 1-to-1 lessons are £17 per hour and group lessons £10 per student per hour. Lessons include conversation and listening skills, grammar and vocabulary. Specialist subjects including Business can be part of the course. Boscastle is on the wild, North Cornwall coast- a popular location for tourists, with many beaches, magnifiscent cliff and coast scenery nearby. Tintagel and King Arthur's castle is 5 km away. Cornwall, the UK's favourite holiday destination has many attractions. The school is situated in the charming old village of Boscastle, close to the harbour, 3 traditional pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants

Courses are individually prepared to suit the language learning needs of our students. They include grammar, vocabulary, conversation and reading/writing skills plus specialist interests or subjects. Lessons are every hour with short breaks and the studies are very relaxed with personal tuition. Students are also introduced the the lifestyle of Boscastle, meeting our friends and going to village events and social life in the pubs.

There is a variety of self-catering and Guest House or host family accommodation. B&B for one week is approximately £ 150. We help you to find suitable accommodation.

There are many sporting, historic and scenic sites in Cornwall, the county is famous for its charm and wild beauty. Most of Cornwall can be visited within one hour by car. Visits and activities can be arranged as required, as part of the courses.
