Gateway School of English GSE

The school is a modern two floor detached building consisting of 10 bright air-conditioned classrooms and comfortable seating. You will be able to relax in the school's large courtyard and surroundings. All our teachers are professionally trained and the whole teaching staff includes native speakers of English as well as Maltese personnel who are thoroughly and fluently English-speaking. Most of our teachers hold University degrees in English together with Diplomas in the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language.

Our modern school and residential complex are located in a quiet residential area in St. Julians overlooking St. Julian's Valley and only 5 minutes walk from the picturesque Spinola Bay in St. Julian's where you will be tempted by the bewildering choice of restaurants offering the best local and international cuisines. San Gwann is equally close to Paceville, the island's pulsating nightheart. We are also within easy reach of Malta's trendiest shopping centres as well as some of Malta's popular beaches.

GSE offers a broad range of English courses. We cater for beginners as well as advanced students, for the young as well as for mature persons. You may choose brief high-intensity programmes or the more relaxed medium and long duration courses. Although we offer both group and individual tuition, we guarantee individual attention to each individual in the classroom. Together with our standard general programmes, we offer English language courses for special cultural interest groups and for persons requiring English tuition for particular professional and technical purposes.

GSE School Residence is a modern three floor detached building and is only 20 metres away from the school. The building houses 22 bright bedrooms, 4 Satellite TV rooms, 8 modern bath/shower rooms and toilets, roof terrace, reception area, large courtyard, free 24 hours-a-day Wireless Internet Access, International Card Phone, Large Dining Area (Canteen), Relaxation area. All bedrooms and dining area are fully air-conditioned. To ensure that all students will have a perfect "home-away from home", our residence is family run and the housekeepers are on the premises 24 hours a day. Students have a choice of local and international cuisine.

GSE offers a varied and comprehensive range of social and cultural activities that include sports such as golf, bowling, swiming, diving and windsurfing, cultural excursions and evening activities such as night harbour cruises, Mdina by night, Beach barbeques & Comino Cruises. Helpful and friendly staff at the school and residence reception, provide information on all activities that are available such as tours to Mdina and Valletta as well as full-day tours around Malta, Gozo and Comino.
