Students comming to study and learn English at GV Vancouver are placed at either our Gastown campus or Yaletown campus, depending on their programme and level. The charming Gastown campus is located in the newly-revitalized historic area overlooking the harbour and the mountains. The Yaletown campus is located in the trendy Yaletown district. Both campuses are within a 15 minute walk of each other and are close to public transportation. Restaurants, shops and the impressive Vancouver central library are just minutes away.

Home to the 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver is big enough to offer world-class events, but small enough to provide safe and friendly hospitality. It is truly an international city whose people share a love for spectacular sea-to-sky mountains, ocean views, outdoor recreational activities and international dining. It is just a few hours away from the world-renowned ski and snowboarding resort of Whistler. Also nearby are Vancouver Island, Victoria, and Seattle in the US - all great for weekend getaways.

Whether you are a complete beginner or an advanced English speaker, GV’s General English course will give you the skills and confidence necessary to rise to the next level of proficiency. An intensive, communication-based program, General English will: * Increase your speaking, listening and conversation abilities * Improve your knowledge of practical grammar structures * Expand your vocabulary and improve pronunciation skills * Build your confidence to use English in a variety of settings

The quality Homestay Service offered by each GV school is managed by the schools and does not rely on third party's homestay proposals. Our Homestay department in each schools regularly monitors and visit the Host families to ensure our students are well taken care of and benefit of the same confort they would have at home

For each session, the Activities Coordinators organize cultural and recreational pursuits which are fun, entertaining and reflect the characteristics of the area. Various cultural and recreational activities are organized on a frequent basis with the participation of school staff. The number of participants may be limited in some activities and students should sign up early. Students are responsible for any extra fees. School parties and events: regular dance parties and all-school events with a variety of themes throughout the year.
