Our Core Values: CARING - HONESTY - RESPECT - RESPONSIBILITY The YMCA International College is one of Vancouver's best-known and respected ESL schools. A strict English-only policy and a good mix of nationalities give students many opportunities to practice their new skills. The College has two main programs: the English Language Certificate Program and the Core English Program. Both offer the same curriculum and quality of instruction and are designed to help students develop all language skills. Sessions start every four weeks. There are six levels in the Core English Program and students study 18 hours per week. In the English Certificate Program, there are eight levels with the option of studying 15 or 27 hours per week. TOEFL, TOEIC, CAE, FCE, and BEC preparation classes are also offered for 15 hours per week. The Summer or Winter English Activities Programs combine English classes with recreational and cultural activities. The English for Academic Purposes Program prepares students for academic programs at our partner colleges and universities. The Welcome Package combines accommodation and breakfast at the YMCA Hotel/Residence with full-time studies (18 or 24 hours per week). This package is available from September to May for a maximum stay of 12 weeks. From June to August, the maximum stay is 8 weeks. Teaching training is available for native and non-native English speakers.

The YMCA International College is located in downtown Vancouver, a safe, clean, cosmopolitan city by the Pacific Ocean with access to many cultural and recreational opportunities. The mountains and ocean provide natural beauty and many opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing, canoeing, kayaking, tennis, beach volleyball, roller-blading and soccer.

The YMCA International College offers accommodations in the YMCA Hotel/Residence, or with Canadian homestay families. We can also help students find apartments. Homestay Placement Fee: $220/$240 Airport Transfer: $50 Homestay: $720-$765/month House share: $700-$1,200/month Residence: $275-$350/week
