Bournemouth, where Anglo-Continental has been teaching English since 1950, is one of England’s finest south coast resorts with a mild climate and a safe, secure environment. Just two hours from London by road or rail, it is a lively university town with outstanding facilities for sport, leisure and entertainment. With seven golden miles of award-winning beaches, spectacular festivals and events, year-round attractions and a plethora of exciting places to visit nearby, its no wonder Bournemouth is such a firm favourite with visitors. The soft golden sands set the scene for hours of fun and provide a golden backdrop to many other seaside activities and attractions including: boat trips, Bournemouth and Boscombe Piers, amusement arcades and a land train that runs along the seafront. As well as the beaches, Bournemouth boasts a number of exciting attractions, leisure and entertainment facilities and the Bournemouth Premier Attractions Group offers attractions such as the IMAX cinema, the Dorset Belles, the Oceanarium and the Bournemouth International Centre. Bournemouth is also the perfect base from which to explore Dorset, the New Forest and beyond, where you'll discover fun parks, wildlife attractions, museums, historic houses and gardens. The school is just 10 minutes' walk from the commercial town centre and 15 minutes from the beach.

Our Intensive Courses in General English are the foundation on which all Anglo-Continental teaching is based: programmes of 20, 25, or 30 lessons per week, every level from Beginner to Advanced, multi-national classes, two or three teachers with each class, constant monitoring and regular progress tests, homework and directed study assignments, reduced fees for long-term study.

Accommodation with an English host family is an established feature of all Anglo-Continental programmes. Careful selection and supervision of our family homes ensure that you are comfortable, well fed and well looked after. Living with an English family also gives you a real opportunity to practise your English outside the classroom, and to understand still more about the country and its people. Homestay Accommodation is available from the Sunday before the commencement of your course to the Sunday after its completion. Special Executive Grade Homestay Accommodation is provided for students attending Executive Programmes.
