THE SCHOOL The school is located in the center of Venice, in a “campo” well known by Venetians, Campo Santa Margherita: a meeting place for students and residents who do their shopping in the beautiful shops of the area or take a break chatting and drinking in the open air cafés. An historic building with a wide terrace on the campo hosts the school. Students have free access to Internet, a self-access study room with video facilities where they can watch films from the video collection of the school. The Istituto Venezia teaching staff is highly qualified. All teachers have attended special education seminars and teaching training programs, in particular the “Itals Master Program” (Italian as second language) of Ca’ Foscari University. They all have a long experience as teachers of Italian to foreign students. Teachers work in team and arrange daily meeting in order to organize the different teaching sections; they regularly update the teaching material, discuss and compare different teaching techniques.

It will surprise you, because whatever you read about it, it is even better. Living with no cars, in a safe, relaxed town, drinking in the many outdoor bars, walking surrounded by art masterpieces will make your experience unforgettable.

INTENSIVE Standard course. Classes are held everyday from Monday to Friday, 4 hours a day with two different teachers (2 hrs each). Maximum number of students per class is 12. The course lasts 4 weeks –80 hours- and is designed for each of the 5 levels. SUPER INTENSIVE 1 intensive + 1 h. one to one 4 hours in the morning + 1 individual h in the afternoon SUPERINTENSIVE 2 Intensive + 2 hours one to one ITALIAN + ART Students can apply to this course only if they apply to the Italian intensive course of the morning. The course is held every afternoon from Monday to Friday, two hours per class. Some lessons will be held in class (slides will be shown together with other ludic-educational activities), others will take place around the city. Specific art itineraries will be explored and studied, in order to discover a variety of masterpieces as they are preserved in different architectural styles, from the Byzantine age to neo-classicism, till contemporary art and architecture.

ALL ACCOMMODATION ARE IN VENICE (no Mestre). We go to see every room and we can guarantee a basic standard quality. All solutions have kitchen and bathroom to share, washing machine. Most of them are simple, safe, clean. Students must buy their own food/soap/toilet paper etc. All utilities are included in the price. No telephone available in students apt. Some owner may not want students to use their phone. Rules for each apartment will be given to students when they will arrive. .*locals are mainly singles. We do not offer b&b or meals. Students will be very independent, and if they choose this solution in order to practice their Italian, they may be disappointed. Some owners are very friendly but some they may simply give the key and have a very basic-formal relationship with students.

the school will organize each week several activities to help the students enjoying their free time
