The Centro Giacomo Puccini school is located in a two-story buildingd and is offering Italian language courses for students from all over the world. We are located in the centre of Viareggio, within walking distance from the beach. The school is next to a Pinewood forest where you can go jogging, rent a bicycle, or play tennis. From the school everything is accessible by foot.

Standard Italian language course 20 classes per week (approx. 45 minutes each). This course is offered the whole year. This is the most popular course and it is ideal for the majority of the students. The classes cover all aspects of the Italian language. Starting dates: every 2 weeks. Duration: from 2 to 24 weeks. Lessons: 4 per day, 20 per week Tuition: on all 5 (monthly) ability levels. Class size: 3 - 12 participants in each class. Intensive Italian language "Plus" 5 course 25 classes per week (approx. 45 minutes each) This course includes the Standard Italian language course plus 5 10 classes on an individual basis. Starting dates: every 2 weeks Duration: from 2 to 24 weeks Lessons: 4 lessons of Standard Italian language per day, plus 1 lesson of private tuition per day. 25 per week Tuition: on all 5 (monthly) ability levels Class size: 3 - 12 participants in each class; 1 participant in the private lessons Intensive Italian language "Plus" 10 course 30 classes per week (approx. 45 minutes each) This course includes the Standard Italian language course plus 5 / 10 classes on an individual basis. Starting dates: every 2 weeks Duration: from 2 to 24 weeks Lessons: 4 lessons of Standard Italian language per day, plus 2 lessons of private tuition per day. 30 per week Tuition: on all 5 (monthly) ability levels Class size: 3 - 12 participants in each class; 1 participant in the private lessons Individual tuition Minimum 1 to maximum 8 lessons per day; the course intensity may be changed from week to week. We suggest you choose our private tuition program if you want a course that can be tailored to your particular professional, or personal, or time scheduling requirements. The minimum enrolment period is 1 day, which can be extended according to your needs. Trough continual practice of the language as an integral part of an intensive program with your own personal teacher, you are guaranteed swift progress and success in the shortest possible time. Your private tuition program is fully flexible in terms of times, dates, and what areas of interest you wish to study. These individual courses may start on any weekday of the year. The intensity of 1 to 8 lessons daily can be decided by the participant. Diplom course Accademia Italiana di Lingua. Our school is a recognized examination centre of the Accademia Italiana di Lingua (AIL), and we organize preparatory courses for all the different Italian "Firenze" examinations of the AIL. We organize different courses (Standard courses combined with specific Preparatory courses) for beginners (DELI exam) as well as intermediate (DILI exam) and advanced (DALI exam) students Duration: The duration of the courses vary from 4 to 24 weeks, depending on your knowledge of the Italian language. Long term standard Itallian language course Students wishing to study Italian for longer periods are especially welcome at our schools and receive special care and attention from our staff, as well as benefiting from our long-term discounted prices. With this course, students profit from all the advantages of learning a language in the country where it is spoken.

APARTMENTS You can choose between 2, 3 or 4 bedroom apartments which you share with other international students. It is ideal for those who enjoy contact with other students from different parts of the world. We always do our best to accommodate you in a student flat with different nationalities. However, the common language typically becomes English. We suggest that you should reach an agreement with one another to speak as much Italian as possible. The student flats are not very luxurious but they have all the basic facilities: a bed, table, chair and a wardrobe. Each student flat has a fully equipped kitchen. In student flats there are no telephones available. You can make your phone calls from one of the many phone boxes. You share the kitchen and the bathroom. Please note: Tenants are responsible for the cleaning of their apartment. It is expected that the rental apartments be left clean and orderly. HOTEL ACCOMMODATION You can choose between a One-star-Hotel, Two-star-Hotel, or Three-star-Hotel. It is ideal for those who enjoy to be served breakfast in the morning and do not like to be responsible for the cleaning of their room. One-star-Hotel are cheap. Students will be staying in small Hotels in a friendly atmosphere. Accommodation always includes double room with wash-basin, bed & breakfast. Single room only on request. If you book Hotel accommodation we can also offer you half board facilities which includes breakfast in the Hotel and dinner in a nearby Restaurant.The Hotels are located within a walking distance from the school, shopping facilities and beaches. Two-star-Hotels include double room with its own bathroom. Three-star-Hotels include double room with its own bathroom, TV and telephone. HOST FAMILY ACCOMMODATION As accommodation we also offer host families: for this option students can choose only a single room; they can choose a bed in a double room only if there are two of them coming and booking the room together; the prices are the same as for shared appartments accommodation, but for host families breakfast is included in the price. Some families offer half board too, on request and additional charge. Host family acommodation is ideal for those who want to practice their Italian everyday and come in touch directly with the Italian culture

We include a dynamic, interesting and fun leisure program that is complementary to the process of learning the Italian language. All activities are directed towards socialising in a learning environment and increasing the student's knowledge of Italian Culture. The focal point falls on interest in a specific subject. From surveys conducted amongst our students, it is clear that extra-curricular activities and excursions are greatly appreciated. Not just as an opportunity for all the students to get to know one another better, but also to gain a better understanding of the culture and way of life of the country. Most of the complementary activities and the cultural programs are included in the price of the course (NB however there may be additional costs in respect tickets for entrances and/or transport to the event) and will take place in the afternoon or evening.
