Brighton and Hove is the most enchanting, exciting, extraordinary seaside city in Britain. However brazen that may sound, it is no exaggeration. With its cosmopolitan air, oodles of restaurants, feverish nightlife and abundance of culture, the place defies comparison with anywhere else this side of the English Channel. For centuries it has been regarded as a ‘pleasure dome’, and that’s not about to change. If you love life, welcome to Brighton and Hove.

The methodology used by GEOS for all courses is primarily a communicative method´. The aim is to teach students the English that they will need for communicating, both inside and outside the school, as the main objective of most students is to improve their ability to speak and understand English. Still teaching all the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, GEOS tries and encourages as much practical communication as possible in order to maximise the amount of practice students get. New elements of vocabulary and grammar are presented in a clear and lively way and with particular attention to pronunciation and intonation. The well-stocked materials room is used by the teachers to supplement the course book that students use in class. There are audio tapes, video tapes, class reading sets, communicative games, flashcards and many other resources that contribute to the success of the teaching. Students are often surprised at how much fun learning English can be at GEOS.
