Our teachers use a variety of modern methods and techniques to benefit students through innovative and entertaining classes. Brisbane is a young and vibrant city with a population of 1.5 million people. The climate is sub-tropical with warm, bright summers and clear, mild winters. There is a mix of modern skyscrapers, historical buildings and parks all built around the Brisbane River. Many international students study in Brisbane. There are four major Universities in Brisbane. Brisbane has many cultural and and recreational facilities such as the Queen Street Mall in the city with all its shops and sidewalk cafes, the Museum, Art Gallery and Entertainment Centre where international concerts and exhibitions are held regularly. Queensland is famous for its beaches so water sports like surfing, swimming and sailing are popular. There are rainforests and mountains surrounding the city so bushwalking and climbing are climbing are popular pastimes.

Fees for 5 weeks full-time intensive general English: $1,500. Fees for 8 full-time intensive general English: $2,400.

The College encourages homestay accommodation as the most suitable learning environment for students who want to maximise their experience. Often students commence their stay in a homestay, which offers you a welcoming start to Cairns and provides a supportive and friendly base for your first few weeks of stay. All of our families are carefully selected and have a genuine interest in meeting people from other countries. Your host family will provide breakfast and dinner Monday to Friday and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and Sunday if you are at home. Lunch is not included during the week so you will need to buy your lunch in the city. There are many cafes and take-away restaurants close to the school. For independent students there is a wide range of accommodation options available: College Residence (students live in dormitory style rooms and must provide their own meals) University Campus accommodation (students live in singe rooms with share facilities and all meals are provided in the cafeteria). The Accommodation Department is always available to offer assistance with students who wish to share flats and houses.

You will be surprised at how much there is to do in Brisbane. Once you start your course you will make friends with other students and often you will do things together after class and on weekends. The school arranges different activities each week - these include movie nights, tours to islands, learning to roller blade, horseriding, visits to Surfers Paradise beach - just to name some.
