We are a person - oriented school specialized in Spanish for foreigners. Our school is not massive; on the contrary, it provides friendly personalized attention. We offer a wide range of courses to suit your needs and interests and they all offer excellent value for money. We offer regular, semi – intensive and intensive courses, private tuition and Spanish for specific purposes ( business, travelling and literature). All courses offered at Verbum are tought with the aim of enabling students to pass the internationally recognised exams. Besides we offer special courses to prepare these examinations. Our teachers have an University degree, post graduate studies in Spanish as a foreign language and those who teach business Spanish are Economic graduates. They have a wide experience in teaching Spanish to students, tourists, executives and embassy officials and will motivate you to learn in a pleasant and amusing way. Our classes have up to five students, so our teachers provide students with individual attention and there are plenty of opportunities to speak Spanish. In addition to the quality of educational aspects, Verbum provides accomodation in carefully selected families, hostels, bed & breakfast or apartments .

Verbum is located in a very convenient area of the city. It is 4 blocks away from the subway station, next to downtown,San Telmo historical neighborhood and the Congreso area.

We offer you language courses for adults, children and teens. We provide optimal preparation for internationally recognized examinations. The goals and contents of our courses are based on Verbum curricula, which are in turn based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Verbum offers general language courses for beginners, intermediate and advanced levels and special Spanish courses (medical, business, etc.) Classes are kept small and instruction is given in Spanish by experienced teachers. Information about social and cultural developments in Latin America and Spain form an integral part of teaching. You will learn Spanish with authentic texts and in communicative situations. In the classroom you will work with texts and additional up-to-date materials or teaching aids suitable for practice purposes, such as cassettes and video tapes. You will receive regular homework assignments to gain a deeper understanding of the course material and ensure that you keep up with the pace.

Directly experiencing another culture and making contact with the people are essential for a true understanding of the language. Consequently, our cultural and leisure program is an important component of our course program, complementing classroom activities through personal experience of the Spanish-speaking environment. Social and Cultural activities are optional and include, for example, visits to the different neighborhoods in Buenos Aires, like the aristocratic areas: Puerto Madero, Recoleta, San Martín Square area and the Tango and popular culture areas La Boca and San Telmo. All these visits are made in groups joined and guided by a teacher and are very helpful to practice Spanish. All activities are for free. They are included in the price of the courses Students only pay admission charges or tickets.The school can also provide advice and information on a number of activities and interests (sports, tango, salsa, etc).
