Because of the high importance of languages in the business, EU decided to open its own language centre on its campus. Montreux known as the “Heart of Switzerland & Europe” and the “Pearl of the Swiss Riviera” is nestled between majestic mountains and the lovely Lake Geneva, in a setting of great natural beauty. The Montreux region is renowned for its Summer Festival “Montreux Jazz Festival” and openair summer concerts, as well as its numerous sight-seeing options such as museums, castles and exhibitions. The reputation of the Swiss city has also been developed through its high education centers and private clinics. A one hour drive from the international airport of Geneva, many attractive excursion destinations include Chillon Castle, Gruyères, Lausanne, Berne, Gstaad, Zermatt and the Matterhorn.

Course description Beginners: This level is designed for those students who have never before studied the language and wish to have a basic knowledge. Intermediate: This level is intended for those who have already acquired a basic knowledge of the language and wish to practice and improve their command of the language. Advanced: The advanced level is designed to improve upon the student’s existing level of the language with the objective of being able to speak fluently in day-to-day, professional and more abstract conversations. Business English: This course is addressed to professionals whose intention is to obtain a concrete understanding of the business language used in international trade. Business plus: This program gives the opportunity to the students to develop their language skills and their business knowledge. The students applying to this program will have four days of language courses and the fifth day, every Friday, will be dedicated to business courses. Course intensity 20 hours/week 25 hours/week 30 hours/week 40 hours/week

The student apartments are located in the centre of Montreux within walking distance of all commodities and facilities. You can have single apartments or have share apartments with other students depending on the availability and your wish. All the apartments are fully equipped. Depending on the budget of the students, hotel rooms or room in residences can be organized for our students. The prices will be on request.

Cultural or social activities are organized three or four times a week by European University. Sport activities are also organized by EU; in example football, basketball or water sports.
