French in Provence

A small residential school offering French tuition in small groups or on an individual basis, all in a friendly atmosphere that allows learning to continue around the swimming pool and over dinner. Whether you are on your own or with friends, we can create an atmosphere that will be right for you. Our teachers are French and qualified and experienced in teaching French to foreigners. We offer accommodation in an attractive and comfortable traditional Provencal style farmhouse built in the nineteenth century and set in a large garden. The house has 4 double or twin bedrooms which all look out onto the garden. There is a full-time cook / housekeeper. Breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinks and trips are all included in the price. We offer a varied range of international cuisine and we are able to cater to specific dietary needs. French in Provence is located on the outskirts of Cabannes, a few kilometres south of Avignon in Provence. The surrounding area is full of sites of historical and cultural interest. We plan the lessons so you have time for relaxation and we arrange excursions for you to places such as St Remy de Provence, L\'Isle sur la Sorgue and the Luberon. The Mediterranean coast is less than an hour away. We offer an airport and train station greetings service.

Avignon draws many visitors from around the world. Beyond the impressive grandeur of the papal residences, the brilliant art collections of the museums, the chic antique shops and gourmet restaurants is another Avignon. The town started life as a neolithic settlement and later under the Romans it flourished as a river port, but it was not until the twelfth century, when Avignon\'s clergy became a power to be reckoned with, that the town grew. The cathedral was built, the bridge of St Benezet constructed, and twoers and churches sprang up. It was the papal presence in Avignon that really transformed the town.

Teachers are French and qualified to teach to non - French nationals. The cost includes all lessons, accommodation, food and drinks, and trips. there is a choice of food. We offer weekend and one week stays also.

The accommodation is very comfortable and the study centre is next to the house. When not learning in the study centre you can relax in the gardens and by the swimming pool. We can cater to your specific dietry requirements.
