Our school in Alicante is situated in the best possible area of Alicante with the Mediterranean Sea only one minute away, in the centre of the city. The school has eight luminous classrooms which are designed for small groups, a multimedia language laboratory, a computer area with free internet and and a recreational area where you can share your progress in Spanish with your fellow students or just relax with a cup of coffee. If you've ever dreamed of castles in Spain, Alicante is that dream come true. The beautiful Moorish castle of Santa Barbara looms over this seaside city on the "Costa Blanca", Spain's shining southeast coast, an ever-present reminder of the city's ancient past. Below the castle hill you can find the narrow, winding streets of Santa Cruz, the "old town," with it's always busy nightlife. And don't forget about the harbor, a jumping off place for North Africa and Mallorca, with its palm-fringed Esplanada de España, wonderful for strolling, people watching, and day dreaming.

We have two basic types of courses, the standard courses (4hours/day) and the intensive courses (6hours/day). We also offer the standard- and intensive PLUS courses which are a combination of group and private classes. Ofcourse we also offer just private classes and we are flexible towards any combination you might suggest. Our DELE preparation courses strat 3 or 4 weeks before the official DELE exam dates and we have 95% of our students passing this test. Classes start at 08:30 and every class hour has a 5 min break. Alhambra Instituto has over 25 years f experience teaching spanish to foreign students, this is why we have developped our own teaching materials and books which have been proven to be most effective.

We offer full- and halfboard homestay with spanish families carefully selected by our schools. you can choose a single or shared bedroom with one of the schools students. we also offer fully equiped and decorated spanish style apartments which you share with other students from the school. You can also choose between a single bedroom or a shared bedroom with one of your fellow students.
