Dominion has an international reputation for high academic standards, extensive activity programmes and a friendly “at home” atmosphere. Dominion is a New Zealand owned company. Dominion never closes (except public holidays). Dominion Schools are located Downtown in Auckland and Christchurch. Students can transfer between schools. Furthermore Dominion is a high-quality language school and offers an enormous variety of courses such as "English intensive".

The city of Christchurch is located in the central South Island of New Zealand. "The Garden City", how it is nicknamed, is a delight all year round - diversity of picturesque and spectacular destinations. The city has a cosmopolitan ambiance with an abundance of shops, cafes and a busy business district. Christchurch has a lifestyle culture of its own. With restaurants and cafes open from midmorning til late in the evening, eating out can be an experience on its own. While very laid back it has everything and something to tempt everyone. There are sports all year round of all nature, countless tours places of interest, relaxing restaurants and cafes, adrenaline pumping adventure activities and plenty of nightlife with bars and a casino.

There is a maximum of approximately 150 students in each school: large enough to have 8 levels of English; small enough for everyone to be your friend. There are Junior Schools for students 12 years - 17 years and Senior Schools for students 18 years +. There is a Silvers Programme for students 50 years +.

Homestay With a New Zealand family. Breakfast and dinner Mondays to Fridays. Breakfast, lunch and dinner Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays. Single room. Washing done (not ironing). Only one student of each nationality in the house (unless otherwise requested). Typical New Zealnd meals: Breakfast: cereal, fruit, milk, toast, tea/coffee. Lunch: bread with eggs/tomatoes/meat/etc, fruit, tea/coffee. Dinner: meat or chicken, with potatoes and salad, bread, water. Furnished Apartment Two bedroom/lounge (sleeps two), small kitchen, bathroom, laundry facilities. Fully furnished. Cleaned once a week. Fresh linen weekly. Students must provide own meals. You pay extra (your share) for electricity, telephone, etc. Usually 2 weeks rent in advance and a 2 week Bond (refunded when you leave if all is OK). We assist you to arrange flatting after you arrive in New Zealand. Campus Auckland only. Shared apartments; own bedroom. Each apartment has bathroom/toilet. Campus has available: communal kitchen, library, gymnasium, games room, computer lab, laundry, cafe, music practice room, organised outings and social events. Most students are 18-25. The Dominion cultural, social and sporting activity programme has been designed to enable students to meet New Zealanders, enjoy their New Zealand experience, and share their cultures with other students. Activities are arranged every afternoon, every weekend and after school. Every week there is a social evening, free activities on Friday afternoon and a free tv/video movie. Dominion staff regularly go to the theatre and restaurants with students, as well as joining students at pub evenings.
