Agape English Language Institute's goal is to give you the necessary English language and cultural skills that will enable you to reach your social, academic and professional goals in the United States or back in your home country. This is done in a friendly and caring environment so you can get the most out of our programs.

South Carolina's capital city has achieved a balance between quiet small-town charm and big-city opportunities. Though it is home to 500,000 people, the city retains its well-known "Southern hospitality". Columbia is home to people from over 125 countries, so stores carry products from many foreign lands. Agape specializes in providing private, one-to-one English instruction to business executives, professionals, students, etc., who prefer to accelerate their learning or meet their time restraints. The curriculum will be designed to meet your special needs and interests. It can start whenever you are ready to begin and can last as long as you need it. The number of class hours can vary depending upon the individual's need and time availability. We can teach a minimum of 2 hours per week to 35 hours per week. We will provide all the necessary arrangements including airport pick up to housing arrangements.

You have two options for living arrangements while at AELI: Homestay with American Families: This unique opportunity gives you a better chance to practice your English every day, and improve your conversational and listening skills at a faster rate. Agape chooses only caring, friendly families to give you the best possible experience of an American home. Apartment: Agape's staff is available to help families or individuals who prefer a private apartment find suitable housing near campus.

Picnics, mountain or beach trips, whitewater rafting, etc. are organized for social and recreational purposes. Special friendship dinners with Americans are held throughout the academic year. Also, American friendship partners are voluntarily assigned to give you a special friend or family to make you feel at home while you are in the USA.
