Cork Language Centre International is:  conveniently situated in the centre of Cork City, close to restaurants and shopping malls.  based in two adjacent buildings which have been completely renovated while keeping their elegant 18th Century character. Our students come from all over the world to attend our courses and to enjoy the cultural experience of living in Cork. The presence of many different nationalities at CLCI creates a lively atmosphere of international understanding and friendship.

Courses are held at 7 levels from Beginner to Advanced (Check availability at Beginner level). Selling Points: • Excellent qualified teachers • “Can do” statements • Weekly progress tests and tutorials • Special programme of study at each level. Grading system enables students to move to a higher level when the first programme is completed. • Teachers focus on practical communication skills with emphasis on speaking and listening. Reading and writing activities provide opportunities for pair and group work. Vocabulary, idioms and grammar are practised in interesting and stimulating ways to achieve fluency.

CLCI Shared Apartments
Homes are included on our panel of homestays following a visit from Joëlle Coade or Pat Coade. Houses are located in good residential areas of Cork and on a bus route. Students should expect an average of 30 minutes travelling time to CLCI The main selection criteria are a friendly atmosphere and clean comfortable surroundings with the following facilities:  Single or twin room with adequate space for storing clothes  Sufficient bed linen to be warm. It is important to remind students that Irish homes are not heated to the same standard as most countries. Although every effort is made by CLCI, to ensure sufficient heating, Irish customs are prevalent in homes  Weekly change of bed linen  Desk in bedroom or a suitable place in the house to study. It is important to inform clients we do not guarantee a desk in bedrooms  Access to bathroom and hot water at all times  Light laundry facilities (underwear, t-shirts etc). Laundry facilities vary: students may have their laundry included with the hosts’ or be given access to the washing machine  Continental breakfast, evening meal - Light lunch is provided at weekends  Only one student of any one mother tongue per homestay

Cork is an ideal location for sports enthusiasts whether you are interested in football, golf, cycling, tennis, sailing, fishing, windsurfing, canoeing or other sports. CLCI organises many social and cultural activities. Students can experience guiges on excursions to the beautiful south and west, visit Blarney Castle where according to the legend, the magic stone gives you the gift of eloquence or become a qualified Irish whiskey taster at Jameson distellery. From barbeques to talks on Irish history and weekends in Dublin, there is a choice of stimulating activities available every day!
