London College Dublin is located in the prestigous building of 26 Merrion Square in the heart of the city centre. The college is well served by public transport, being on all the principal bus, rail and cycle routes. Student care and attention is our main priority and our approach at London College Dublin ensures that a high level of individual attention is given to every student. Our student officer is available at all times to offer advice and answer any student queries ie finding a job, making travel arrangements etc. All our teachers are graduates and highy qualified in teachig English as a foreign language. They are carefully selected to nurture and develop the friendly and caring atmosphere that makes London College Dublin so special. London College Dublin is located in the prestigous Georigian building of 26 Merrion Square in the heart of the city centre. Grafton St., Dublin\'s famous shopping street is just a 5 minute walk from the school as are many of Dublin\'s trendiest bars and restuarants. Dublin city itself is a vibrant young city known for it\'s prestigious tradition of education. It is home to the great literary tradition of Shaw, Yeats, Beckett and Joyce. It was George Bernard Shaw that wrote \'The best English is spoken in Ireland\'.

All our courses are aimed at developing students\' language skills (grammar, reading, writing, listening and speaking) in a communicative manner. To achieve this end, we use a variety of techniques and aids such as audio visual and technological resources. Classes are held in the morning, afternoon and evening. In-house examinations in grammar, reading, writing and speaking are held on a regualr basis to enable students to monitor their individual progress. General English classes are available all year round and cover all aspects of the language; reading, writing, grammar, listening and speaking. All courses are continuous and therefore students may begin a course on any Monday. Classes range from Elementary to Upper Intermediate level. Preparation classes for CAMBRIDGE, IELTS and TOEFL examinations are also available. London College Dublin is recognised by the Department of Education and Science for the Teaching of English as a Foreign Language and approved by ACELS (Advisory Council for English Language Schools). We are also a member of MEI~RELSA.

Host family accomodation is very popular amongst our students. All of our families are carefully selected and are monitored on a continual basis. Accomodation is on a single room and full board basis - breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal. All of our host families are within easy reach of the college. Only one student of each nationality is placed in a family, unless otherwise requested. Two weeks notice is required to ensure availability. Hotel, guest house, hostel or shared accomodation can also be arranged if required.

At London College Dublin, we consider our social programme an integral part of the students stay. It gives the student a perefct opportunity to socialise and practice their English with other students from all corners of the world whilst experiencing Irish culture in its true natural form.
