You are placed in a class at the most appropriate level and your progress is carefully monitored throughout your stay. You can take examinations which will give you useful qualifications and we encourage and help you to do this. Homestay: Homestay is a unique opportunity to gain a true insight into the culture and customs of the country you study in, and to make international friendships for life. At GEOS we specialize in arranging high quality homestay accommodation with friendly caring families as we understand that the perfect compliment to your English course is to stay with a host family where you can continue to practise and improve your English skills. Each school has their own Accommodation Coordinator who will personally inspect and interview all families that are involved in our homestay program. When a student enrols at our school they are asked to complete the Homestay Questionnaire on the enrolment form so that we can then match them with a family according to their interests and preferences. GEOS will send students a profile of the family in advance so they will feel more comfortable upon their arrival. It is GEOS policy that students should not share their homestay with someone from their own country (unless they specifically request this). The weekly fee includes a furnished bedroom with bed, desk, chair and light, two meals during the week and three meals on weekends. Hostel and dormitory accomodation: At many of our schools we can also arrange hostel or dormitory accommodation. Many hostels are within walking distance of our schools. A typical hostel will have single rooms and shared kitchen, bathroom and TV room facilities. For short term stays some schools are also able to provide backpacker hostel accommodations which are centrally located. Accommodation and meal plans in university dormitories are available for some schools located in the North American region. This style of accommodation is usually only available during the summer months. Hotel, apartment and shared accomodation: All of these can be arranged to suit individual needs and budgets.
