Globe English Centre

The Globe is a small privately owned family run School situated in the beautiful, historic and vibrant city of Exeter. Here at the Globe we specialise in intensive Adult courses (we have a maximum of 6 students in all of our adult classes), and Junior Groups. The Globe was awarded points of excellence at its last British Council inspection for its facilities, all teachers are fully qualified and our friendly office staff are always on hand to help where ever they can.

Exeter is located in Devon, the most popular county in England. It is only 2 hours from London and close to any number of wonderful attractions. As it is situated in the South-West of England, it has the best climate and the warmest weather, making it a great tourist destination. Exeter has an excellent university and a beautiful Cathedral. The Globe English Centre is situated in the city centre meaning it is 5 minutes from the train and bus stations.

All of our Adult courses have a maximum of 6 students in each class, making the Globe the ideal choice for any seriouse student. The Globe's excellent facilities, fully qualified experienced teachers and relaxed atmosphere creates the ideal learning environment whilst the well organised and carefully chosen voluntary social programme offers a cheap and easy way to relax, explore and have fun. The Junior School is open year round and comes with a complete social programme to meet the needs of all children, combining cultural visits with educational visits, social events and sporting activites, combined with entertaining and informative lessons makes the Globe a great choice for holiday vacations for any child.

We generally place our students in host families but we also have apartments, hotels, houses and university accomodation available. All host families are visited regularly by an experienced member of the GLobe team to ensure a high level of host family. All students are placed within 30 minutes walk of the school, or a free bass pass will be given to the student on arrival.

Our dedicated Social organiser does her very best to ensure that all activites are both enjoyable and educational to all students. Travel times are kept to a minimum and fun to a maximum. We do our utmost to ensure students coming for a longer study period do not have the same activites repeated, ensuring a good variety for all of our students.
