Atlantic Language School was established in Galway in 1993 and is recognised by the Irish Department of Education for teaching English as a foreign language. Since then it has developed a reputation for its friendly and personal atmosphere, its internationally mixed classes, together with its attention to high academic standards of English teaching. Atlantic is located in the heart of Galway, besides the bus and train stations and the tourist office. It is a purpose built and architecturally designed school with many facilities for students.

Whether you need to learn and improve your English for your job, for further studies or just as part of a language holiday we can offer many different courses to suit you, all year round. Our teachers are all University graduates and are qualified to teach English as a foreign language. The majority of staff has been teaching for many years and has taught abroad. They bring a wide range of both academic and life experiences to their teaching. All our staff, both in and out of class, is well experienced in providing an enjoyable English Language Holiday to our students.

Host Family Living with an Irish family is an integral part of the language learning experience. Atlantic Language School has a core group of carefully chosen host families who have extended a warm welcome to all of our students over the years. Living with an Irish family gives the English learner the opportunity to "live" the language and experience for themselves Irish life and customs. Apartments Atlantic manages a number of 2 to 5 bedroomed city centre apartments exclusive to our students. This choice of self-catering accommodation allows students to live with other nationalities.

You are our guest for the duration of your visit. As good hosts we organize weekly social and cultural events so that students get a real flavour of Galway and its surroundings
