Castila is located in a carmen in the Albaicín, a garden house in the oldest and quaintest neighbourhood in Granada, in full view of the Alhambra Palace. The Alhambra is the most visited monument in the world. Founed in 1988, Castila is a learner focused organization that is dedicated to the teaching and immersion of the Spanish language and culture. There is a balanced combination of classes, extracurricular and cultural activities for the students to participate in to ensure the authentic practice of the Spanish language while also having fun! There are 46 designed activities that have been developing and envolving since 1988. Castila also offers small class sizes with a maximum of 6 students per group. Which makes for an intimate and intense learning environment. The teachers are of the highest quality with atleast 5 years teaching experience. They are also very dedicated to their students in and out the classroom. In addition accommodation of the highest quality is available in Granada with the option of homestay with family, a single flat, or shared flat with other students. Castila also offers Spanish+Ski courses in the Sierra Nevada! Where the classroom conditions are the same, but you have the chance to enjoy a week of skiing and accomodation at a ski resort in the Sierra Nevada Moutains, just 30 kilometers from Granada. In other words, a thousand and one opportunities to practice Spanish and enjoy a fulfilling cultural experience. Which is why 40 % of the students extend the course or come back in the near future. As a student said in 1999, Castila is an intensive learning experience in and out of the classroom.

The city of Granada, known for its beauty and architecture, has recently been declared a national monument. It is located in the Adalucia region of Spain just at the point where the Sierra Nevada mountains meet the fertile plain of the vega. It is home to the Alhambra palace, which is the most visited monument in the world. The Alhambra is a series of palaces and dynasties built under the Nazari Dynasty in the 14th Century. Granada has enough character for everyone with quaint tea cafe´s, tapas bars, discoteques, cinemas, and the Sierra Nevada only 30 km away!

Castila offers courses for all levels of language learners, from absolute beginners to advanced. There are 6 different types of classes, that include specific purpose courses with classes in business spanish, spanish literature and literary criticism, and culture and society. In addition courses are offered for those students who are preparing or want to prepare for the DELE of Certificate in Business/Commercial Spanish. Private lessons and semi-private lessons (2 students) are also available on request. Castila has an excellant group of teachers which are chosen with the highest standards and a requirement of atleast 5 years of teaching experience.

Castila offers shared flats in the best areas of Granada: Centre, Albaicín and Realejo. The accomodation is always no more than a 15 minute walk from the school. The apartments have 2 bedrooms with a telephone, washing machine living room, kitchen,, bathroom, refrigerator Terrace and/ or garden, exterior light, during the summer access to private swimming pool and weekly cleaning. Everything is included with the apartment, they are fully furnished with sheets gas and electricity * Families who accommodate our students are chosen carefully and Castila undertakes full responsability for the arrangements made.It is usually with only one student but you may as for the availability for two.

Castila offers 46 different cultural and extracuricular activities for its learners to experience true immersion in the Spanish culture. These are a very important part of the learning process, not only are they fun, but the learners get a chance to see and experience the true spanish way of living. It also gives the learners plenty of oppertunities to practice their spanish in an authentic enviroment. This experience enables learners to have the oppertunity to visit and see the many different cultures and lifestyles Spain has to offer!
